| Education: He graduated from Moskow Institute of Mines, faculty of Mining Machinery. |
| Professional experience: As a boy he dreamed of being a pilot. After leaving school in 1978 he started to work as a mine fitter at “Gukovugol” in Gukovo, Rostov Region. Within the period of 1979-1993, having changed a number of specialties, he finally gained the position of the head of the mine section. From 1993 till 1994 he was Deputy Director of Production, from 1994 till 1997 – Director of Mine named after 50th anniversary of October and in 1997 he became Director General of “Gukovugol” Joint Stock Company. Since 2002 Sergei Nazarov has been the Deputy Head of Administration – the minister of industry, energy and natural resources. |
| Family: His parents, Nazarov Makar Muradovich and Nazarova Alevtina Afanasyevna, are pensioners; his wife is Nazarova Tatyana Anatolyevna; they have two sons – Artyom and Maxim, students. |

| Preferences: Kindness is a quality that he values most in people. He has always been fascinated with Vladimir Visotsky’s songs, he likes Patricia Kaas and movies with Aleksey Batalov. His literary preferences are Pushkin and Lermontov. He prefers to spend his vacation traveling. His favorite animal is his own dog chau-chau named Brem. |
